Teleoperated robots doing real paid work in unprepared human environments, data seen as the real value
Darpinian · x · 2026-10-31
Commenting on an unnamed robotics company, Darpinian notes it achieves rare teleoperation quality: robots doing real paid work with human tools in real, unseen and unprepared human environments — something nobody else is doing even with teleoperation. He admits the service is likely far from profitable, but argues the data collected should be highly valuable, and adds that making teleoperation look this easy involves many hard problems.
