Factory acquires Typedef to give its Droids coding agents an enterprise data context layer
annbordetsky · x · 2026-10-31
Factory has acquired Typedef, which builds a context layer helping agents understand enterprise data. The deal will give Factory's Droids coding agents clearer lineage and evidence for planning migrations, debugging pipelines, and refactoring models.
With an engineering team still shy of 50, co-founder Alvin Ng says every addition is intentional: hires aren't about parallelizing more work but unlocking bigger, bolder bets the startup couldn't tackle before.
