Board wargame studio says server-delivered Claude Code instruction halts paid game work
lerugray · ghdev · 2026-10-30
A developer at Conflict Simulations LLC filed an urgent Anthropic issue claiming Claude Code began receiving a server-side instruction around October 27 that makes sessions refuse game-related development entirely. The studio builds original, commissioned digital modules of board wargames for clients who prove ownership — months of work now blocked.
The filing asks Anthropic to (1) narrow the rule to actual infringement rather than the whole "games" category, (2) offer a verification/exemption path for vetted professional work, and (3) document server-delivered instruction changes in the changelog. Reported across multiple machines and two paid accounts (Max and Team), with contracts offered as evidence.
