wzenus discovered that RAGEN, code he wrote entirely by hand in January 2025 before coding agents took off, was turned into the 3rd hardest task of FrontierCS 2.
- The task: improve a 0.5B model with RL on a budget of just 0.5 A100 GPU hours — a very high bar.
- Manling Li, whose RAGEN project is involved, highlighted the ranking and praised the manual implementation.
