Stanford prof demos Aware: a browser where agents live inside a reprogrammable interface
HaijunXia · x · 2026-10-31
Haijun Xia's team is building Aware, a browser exploring personal computing and generative, malleable software.
- Pages and files are kept as a graph in a local relational database — one united place for the internet, your materials, and your agents.
- A team member writes papers in a LaTeX editor inside Aware where software fixes itself and fetches its own context.
- The editor is an "interface as a skill" experiment: editor code and skill live in the paper's repo, so the agent that knows your code and data also lives in the editor — any part is reprogrammable, and figures link to dashboards built from the real analysis code.
