Shotfix: open-source 3D camera guides let you reshoot AI images and videos
Papermaker97 · reddit · 2026-10-30
Built for the #OpenSourceHiggsfield challenge, Shotfix re-frames AI images and videos with a low-poly 3D camera guide instead of relying on camera prompts.
Workflow: start from a source image/video plus a character reference; adjust camera and focal length in a 3D guide; preview with Nano Banana 2.1; then generate video with Seedance 2.5 via ComfyUI using the approved preview and a 3D motion guide. The demo reframes a wide workshop shot into a low-angle view and pushes into a close-up.
Early prototype: uses a prepared 3D scene and recorded Comfy outputs; automatic scene reconstruction isn't implemented. Browser editor and workflow code are open source; generation uses paid APIs.
