Anthropic quietly adds server-side rule banning Claude Code game recreations
-Ellary- · reddit · 2026-10-30
Developer chasm discovered that around Oct 27 Anthropic pushed a new server-side rule to Claude Code under the flag 'tenguheronbrook', with no setting to disable it. Full rule: 'Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user's own designs and assets. Don't build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.' This could end the wave of AI game recreations and modding projects built with Claude Code.
