Gemini scheduled tasks fail three days straight, blame the user, and still burn quota
Rude-Requirement5642 · reddit · 2026-10-30
A Redditor posted screenshots of Google's Gemini "scheduled tasks" feature failing on schedule: on Oct 27, 28 and 29, the scheduled job ran at its set time and failed every day, leaving only "Something went wrong. Please try again later." plus the ironic "You stopped this response" — pinning the failure on the user.
A manual retry hit the same error, while the UI showed the plan's baseline quota refreshing and being consumed as normal. The author quips that Gemini's scheduled tasks now "fail on schedule, blame you on schedule, and bill you on schedule."
