Prove2Me formalizes 2,000+ operations research papers in Lean 4 with Claude agents, 64% done
ChrSzegedy · x · 2026-10-30
- Over the past month the Prove2Me community organized 2,012 OR papers and textbooks into 4,288 Lean 4 formalization missions — 44K theorem statements/definitions and 8.8M lines of Lean across optimization, MDPs, queueing, inventory and game theory; contributors have solved 64%.
- All formalizations live in a single shared graph: results become reusable and each new formalization gets cheaper; the work has surfaced simpler proofs and natural generalizations of published results.
- After formalizing Fermat's Last Theorem with Claude agents, the team hopes OR reaches 'formalize before review,' and plans expansion into theoretical CS, quantum physics and beyond — researchers can just tell their agent to formalize a paper on Prove2Me.
