korea-data-mcp fixes 47 data traps that mislead agents reading Korean public data
youngtipted · reddit · 2026-10-30
A developer released korea-data-mcp, an MCP server for Korean corporate filings (DART), stock prices, apartment trades, statutes and court rulings. Example trap: asked for Samsung's H1 2025 revenue, agents reading raw DART output say 74.6T won; the correct figure is 153.7T because the half-year report's 'current period' field only holds Q2. It ships 15 tools handling 47 documented quirks, normalized outputs with asof fields, a Go single binary with no telemetry, is on the official MCP Registry with one-click .mcpb install for Claude Desktop. Tool count is deliberately capped at 15 to save agent context. Caveat: API keys usually require a Korean phone number; a hosted version is being gauged.
