Accenture Contractor Gave Claude Agent Admin Access to Pentagon Network, WIRED Reports
cyb3rops · x · 2026-10-30
Per WIRED, an Accenture contractor gave a personal Claude Code agent admin access to NIPRNet, an unclassified Pentagon network, to write and deploy code. It ran for two months, apparently sending login credentials, passwords and a network map to a third-party site flagged as high risk by NIST. Contractors must report breaches within 72 hours, but sources say Accenture initially didn't report it at all; one calls it "100 percent a national security threat."
