Claude Projects is Anthropic's best idea and worst implementation, argues power user
Many_Region8176 · reddit · 2026-10-30
A Reddit power user argues Claude Projects nails the concept—one "god thread" coordinating an entire project, dispatching tasks and cron jobs—but fumbles execution: forced auto mode with constant permission prompts, no bypass option, mandatory per-session "Allow" taps that wreck remote work, noticeably slower threads that sometimes sleep and stop responding, and no remote model/effort/context controls. The verdict: Anthropic built the right thing then refused to trust users with it; full-power sessions and an opt-out would make it a killer feature.
