NVIDIA shows developers building Omniverse simulations with frontier AI agents
RevLebaredian · x · 2026-10-30
NVIDIA published a blog showing developers combining frontier AI models (e.g. GPT-6 Astra) with Omniverse libraries to build simulation apps: developers direct agents via natural language, then review and refine the results, with Omniverse supplying GPU-accelerated physics, rendering and sensor simulation.
Three example projects:
- Reconstructing an editable, simulation-ready building model from warehouse site scans, stripping out obstructing shelving and machinery (a workflow built by David Wehr on NVIDIA's simulation team using Astra).
- A scenario exploring gas turbine behavior.
- A kitchen assembled from SimReady assets.
The pitch: AI agents can help build both the simulator and its world, with engineers directing and verifying — lowering the barrier to simulation development.
