UK Ministry of Justice uses Pydantic as executable contracts for judge-facing AI tools
samuelcolvin · x · 2026-10-30
The UK MoJ's Justice AI Unit published a case study on using Pydantic Validation as executable contracts wherever information changes form: audio→transcript, transcript→draft, bundle→citations, Python→TypeScript client. Pydantic + FastAPI models generate OpenAPI specs and Zod schemas for the TS client, and every structured AI response is validated before calling code sees it.
