Screendrop v0.37 lets Claude Code and other MCP agents edit and export your screen recordings
craigsdennis · x · 2026-10-30
Indie developer fayazara released Screendrop v0.37.0, headlined by MCP support: with it enabled in Settings → MCP, Claude Code, Codex and other MCP clients can trim clips, cut words and silences, import media and export recordings.
Other updates:
- In-place recording area editing with handles, exact size, locked ratio, and memory of the last area
- New cursor styles in Studio (macOS arrow, vector arrows, circles, pointing hand) that stay sharp in exports
- Rebuilt Studio timeline with solid rounded blocks and a playhead that turns into a flag at the end
- Improved crop interactions; Library uses far less memory; chunked cloud uploads fix failures over 100 MB
