iOS agent factory autonomously fixes its own stale bundle ID bug via self-improvement PR
vikvang1 · x · 2026-10-30
The author runs an iOS "factory" of coding agents for their mobile app. Across 10+ runs, scorer agents kept flagging failures: the Simulator skill launched the app with a stale hard-coded bundle ID, so agents couldn't verify UI behavior in the simulator. Once enough failures accumulated, the factory autonomously opened a self-improvement PR — instead of hard-coding the identifier, it now reads CFBundleIdentifier from the built app's Info.plist (via PlistBuddy) and passes it to xcrun simctl launch. After merging, computer-use-verified videos resumed. Screenshots show the actual diff and the scorer failure stats table.
