Standard Bots doc goes live: 7 years to sell its first 100 robots
Rewkang · x · 2026-10-30
A mini documentary on Standard Bots tours the company's Glen Cove, NY factory: the SMT room making every robot's circuit boards, a floor expanding from 30,000 to 70,000 sq ft, and the team training AI on real field robot data.
The founder recalls taking seven years to sell the first 100 robots — friends once staged an intervention telling him to move on. He kept going, citing that China installed 9x as many robots as the US last year: robots are "what makes everything else."
