Fed up with sub-agent black boxes, dev open-sources Dojo for multi-terminal agents
ZenZombie117 · reddit · 2026-10-30
The author's workflow passes work between agent sessions in different terminal windows. Claude-to-Claude sessions could talk directly, but Claude often "forgot" to hand work to his local agent and did it itself, and he couldn't see what the local agent was doing.
So he abandoned sub-agents altogether: each agent gets its own terminal window, messages are passed between them, and agents relay session messages to each other. On top of this he built Dojo — a deliberately low-friction tool with few features or knobs: pick a coding assistant and run; the Runner picks whichever quantized model fits your machine and gives a shortlist next time. The goal is to mash Claude, Codex, and a local agent (Pi) together.
