LIFT Paper: Transformers Feed Back a Latent State, Not Just One Token
megamor2 · x · 2026-10-30
A new paper introduces LIFT: a language model that passes a latent state from its last layer back into its first layer at every step — letting a Transformer feed back more than one token's worth of information — while still pretraining fully in parallel.
It is the first paper from author TiroshDor, co-authored with @AmosaurusRex and @megamor2, with an accompanying thread.
