Agent Astra directs a robot to paint, film, score and edit a short in one hour
OpenAIDevs · x · 2026-10-29
Developer dhvanil demonstrated an end-to-end agentic pipeline with Astra: from a one-line prompt ("let's make a fun painting"), the agent conceived the idea, modeled brush movements, and ran digital-twin collision tests before controlling a real robot via SDK. It simultaneously triggered recording through Sony's camera SDK, read controller logs, and pulled footage over WiFi. It then composed music and edited the video in sync with the controller logs and music spectrogram, delivering the short film "a Small Orbit" about an hour later — a rare full-stack demo of agents orchestrating software and physical hardware with minimal human input.
