Intel spinout Articul8, valued at $500M, launches multimodal decision model Bivia

A month before ChatGPT launched, an Intel team had already delivered a specialized AI model to an enterprise customer — the project became Articul8, spun out in early 2024 and now valued at $500M, with over half of a $70M Series B (led by Adara Ventures) already secured.
Articul8 just launched Bivia, a multimodal decision model that processes documents, images, audio, video, and time-series data, makes sequential decisions, and defers to humans when uncertain. Built on 3+ years of production deployments across semiconductors, energy, and manufacturing, it marks a shift from models that generate answers to models designed to complete entire workflows.
