Hisense unveils home humanoid Savvy 02 with 28 DoF as appliance giants race into robotics
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-29
Hisense showed Savvy 02, its second home humanoid billed as an adult butler: 28 DoF, 5 kg+ per arm, 1.5 m/s on an omnidirectional base, and a foldable torso (still can't do stairs). It folds clothes, tidies up, preps food, feeds pets, and runs the washer and fridge within a 3 m diameter, 0–2 m high workspace, and could extend to restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets.
With LG CLOiD, Midea MIRA, Haier HIVA, and Hisense Savvy 02 all emerging, major appliance brands are racing into home robotics: smart appliances connect devices, but home robots could close the physical-labor gap and turn the smart home into a coordinated automation system that gives people back hours spent on chores.
