Can Open-Source Models Generate Comics With LLM-Written Speech Bubbles?
Someoneqqqq · reddit · 2026-10-29
The author wants to reproduce Grok Imagine's behavior in ComfyUI with open-source models: a single prompt yields a comic illustration with speech bubbles whose text is generated by the model rather than hardcoded.
Two problems so far with Qwen Image Edit 2.1:
- Text is always corrupted;
- Other models produce uncorrupted text but simply hardcode the prompt into the bubble instead of generating context-appropriate dialogue.
The author asks which nodes or LoRAs are needed and solicits community solutions.
