One chat: AI plans, paints on a real robot arm, films and edits the video
dhvanil · reddit · 2026-10-29
A Reddit user showed 'Astra', powered by GPT-6, completing an entire creative pipeline in a single Codex chat: designing three fish circling an empty center, generating a concept image, writing 34 brush strokes, simulating water spread (discarding a first version), checking collisions and joint limits in a digital twin, then painting live for 30 minutes with 11,567 joint commands across two cameras. It then read run logs to time each stroke, wrote music in code, color-graded and cut the footage on beat.
Notably, Astra doesn't stream motor commands token by token — it plans the painting and runs studio tools built with Codex and Claude over months, with a checked executor driving the arm.
