Inworld launches Reasoning for Realtime TTS-2, first context-steering TTS model
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-30
Inworld introduced Reasoning for Realtime TTS-2, billed as the first TTS model that steers itself based on context. Instead of maintaining emotion tags and rules in your chat prompt, the model reads the text plus passed context, writes its own delivery direction, and performs it.
Developer benefits:
- Emotion, tone, and pacing shaped by per-line context
- No emotion-tag rules to maintain
- Fewer LLM output tokens spent writing voice directions
The generated direction is returned in the API response for inspection; user instructions and inline tags always take precedence.
