Empatica launched WellPD, an FDA-cleared, CE-marked wearable and app for at-home Parkinson's monitoring, shipping from November 23. It continuously tracks motor symptoms, sleep, activity and medication, with a new motor measure called WellMove. The 11-gram waterproof device has a fabric band and 14-day battery life. MIT professor Rosalind Picard endorsed the launch, saying doctors and patients have long asked for it.
