Citing SVDG's 2026 NatSec100 list, AcqTalk questions a defense tech bubble: from FY2020–FY2026, only 8 of 95 top defense tech startups secured federal obligations exceeding the capital they raised.
Most companies — including Anduril at the $10B-raised level — sit in the 'raised more than obligated' zone; X-Bow, JetZero, Govini, SimSpace, Vannevar Labs, Raft, Lunar Outpost and ThinkOrbital are the exceptions. Sources: SVDG, USAspending, FPDS.
