Bloomberg reports Marvell is in advanced talks to acquire data center optics maker Lumentum, with a deal possibly announced as soon as next week. Lumentum is valued at about $83B vs Marvell's $221B. The poster argues the deal "makes no sense" given LITE's size relative to Marvell's market cap, suggesting CEO Matt Murphy should retire.
