Shopify's Fall '26 Editions ('Exponential') centers on agentic commerce:
- A Shop skill: give ChatGPT, Claude, or any agent a shop.md so it can discover products, recommend, and check out with Shop Pay; fully customizable, with tools open-sourced at shop.dev.
- Shop Pay in more agents: Muse, Claude Duet, Grok Bot, and Instinct, backed by Mastercard/Visa with Amex coming.
- Checkout inside Google Search (incl. AI Mode) and the Gemini app, powered by Shopify, with orders managed in the admin.
- Store preview via Shopify CLI before signing up, digital products created in agents, and compare-at prices exposed to AI shopping agents via Shopify Catalog.
