Researchers build a Claude artifact to interactively map genomic motifs to transcription factors
jmschreiber91 · x · 2026-10-29
Genomics researcher jmschreiber91 released an interactive Claude artifact for exploring motif-to-transcription-factor mappings.
The problem: many TFs can bind the same motif, a many-to-many relationship that has been hard to visualize but matters for understanding genomic sequence-to-function (S2F) models and designed DNA.
The tool is an interactive tripartite graph covering (1) TFs and their families, (2) motifs, and (3) motif clusters — 54 TF families (e.g. C2H2 ZF with 759 members, Homeodomain 217), 54 motif families and 45 motif-cluster families. Users can click any family to zoom in and lasso related sets of interest.
