Parent and first-grader build an addictive math game with a one-shot Claude prompt
neuroecology · x · 2026-10-29
A parent shares that their first-grader wanted to practice timed addition/subtraction, so they built a game together from the kid's own idea: he plays a 'wizard dragon' collecting gold coins to buy rooms on a spaceship, unlocking a space station, planet, and galaxy. It was essentially built with a one-shot Claude prompt. The kid plays obsessively and has learned the math — and the parent is now considering a tablet version for spelling and writing practice.
