Row-Bot: a local 27B model runs a shop's morning ops entirely on one PC via MCP
Acceptable-Object390 · reddit · 2026-10-28
Row-Bot, a free open-source local-first desktop assistant (Windows/macOS/Linux), demos a small shop's morning routine run entirely on one PC by qwen3.8 27B through Ollama. It connects to the shop's own MCP server with four tools—sales, stock, supplier contacts, saving purchase orders—answers how yesterday went, turns that into a 07:30 weekday workflow, pauses for approval before saving three draft purchase orders, then writes the morning report.
Nothing leaves the machine, and the single write tool always asks first. The shop is a fictional demo business on SQLite.
