JafarNajafov · x · 2026-10-28
A developer open-sourced Free Claude Code (FCC), which keeps the Claude Code app but swaps the model behind it — no Anthropic subscription needed for supported models.
- Connects 61 providers (NVIDIA NIM, OpenRouter, Groq, Gemini, DeepSeek, Kimi, or local via Ollama/LM Studio), claiming 1.3B+ free tokens/month
- Works with 11-12 coding agents: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cline, Aider, etc.
- Shows FCC models in Claude Code's /model picker; routes Opus/Sonnet/Haiku tiers to different models
- Auto-falls back to the next model when a provider goes down
- Optional RTK filters and Headroom compression cut token usage by up to 90%
