Doubao's Record-to-Skill Feature Automates Apple Notes Migration to Obsidian in Two Minutes
songguoxiansen · x · 2026-10-28
The author used Doubao's newly launched "record operations to generate a skill" feature to automate migrating Apple Notes into Obsidian.
- Pain point: over 100 saved notes (57 in October alone) required manually copying titles, creating notes, pasting and saving, hundreds of times.
- Workflow: click "record skill", grant screen-recording permission (up to 30 minutes), demonstrate the migration once for about two minutes, then Doubao auto-generates a skill named notes-to-obsidian.
- Error handling: a mistaken operation on a "1439 pose reference images" document was excluded by typing or simply speaking "ignore this segment" during recording, since Doubao captures voice input in real time.
- Usage: later just say "move XX from Notes to Obsidian" to trigger the skill.
- Extra: with Mac authorization, Doubao can keep executing screen-observation, click and typing tasks while the Mac is locked, and tasks can be dispatched from a phone to that Mac (Settings → Work Task Mode Settings).
