DeepLearning.AI launches short course on loop engineering for reliable agents
DeepLearningAI · youtube · 2026-10-28
DeepLearning.AI and LangChain released Loop Engineering with LangChain Deep Agents, taught by Deep Agents maintainer Sydney Runkle and Esmaeil Gargari. Core thesis: a single tool-calling loop isn't enough for reliable long tasks. The course covers four loops around an agent: the base agent loop (call tools, observe, decide), a verification loop that checks output and feeds back retries, an event-driven loop triggering new runs, and a hill-climbing loop that analyzes traces across runs to improve the agent harness.
