Matt Pocock shows his /pr skill with a PR that fixes mid-stream edit loss in Article Writer
mattpocockuk · x · 2026-10-28
Matt Pocock shared a merged PR as a showcase of his custom /pr skill, with a description praised for its summary, evidence, and merge-danger notes.
- The change: Article Writer previously froze all Choose Screenshot edits while the model streamed the document, because every chunk replaced the document with writeDocument's partial content — mid-stream edits were silently lost, not corrupted.
- The fix: the document flow is now a single reducer holding the real text plus pending user edits; the on-screen document becomes a selector, and the freeze gates were simply removed. 10 files, +819/−116, with a suggested reading order and tests.
- Also a good example of containing complex frontend state in a reducer.
