Delta, JPMorgan, Amazon are blocking AI agents — permission is AI's next big fight
Arindam_1729 · x · 2026-10-28
As AI agents get capable, big companies are pushing back: Delta restricts third-party booking agents, JPMorgan/Citi/Schwab resist financial agents, Amazon blocks unauthorized shopping agents, and Yelp demands paid data licensing. Beyond valid security concerns lies a business conflict — agents bypass ads, sponsored listings and upsells — which is why Walmart and Shopify are exploring controlled integrations. The next challenge isn't making agents smarter, it's getting permission to use them.
