Box CEO: agents deployed in under 1% of enterprise workflows, real automation ahead
craighepburn · x · 2026-10-28
Responding to a comment that enterprise workflow automation is still in its "autocomplete / early Claude Code era," Box CEO Aaron Levie argues the vast majority of enterprise workflows haven't been meaningfully touched by agents — economy-wide deployment is likely under 1%, with most "automation" being single-pass LLM decisions. He attributes this mainly to AI capability limits rather than enterprise adoption friction, but says computer use, long-running agents, harness improvements and infrastructure are changing that, pointing toward self-improving systems and agent swarms for complex workflows.
