Only Opus 5.5 one-shots "Anthropic" in association test, revealing a persona shift
ryunuck · x · 2026-10-28
ryunuck extends the "one-shot association" experiment (guess which company a brown+vertical+books aesthetic represents). New testing shows only Opus 5.5 one-shots to Anthropic — no prior model did — marking a new development in the model's persona.
An unexpected finding: Opus 4.6 one-shots to WeWork, and Opus 5.5 also converges to WeWork on most prompts when the books are masked. The author reads the closer reply patterns between 4.6 and 5.5 as a data point matching user perceptions of the changes between the two generations — and notes the book-free association space likely also reflects human bias.
