krishnan · x · 2026-10-28
With AI agents making code cheap to write, the real bottlenecks have shifted to checkout, CI, and code review. Anthropic's merged changes jumped from roughly 2,500 per day in May to over 30,000 in September. Because tooling built for human scale became the bottleneck, the company built Scion, its own source control system.
