Parsing Claude's Raw SSE Stream into a Forensic Timeline of Agent Tool Calls and Diffs
Additional-Ladder-24 · reddit · 2026-10-28
A developer intercepted claude.ai's raw SSE stream, parsed the JSON, and built a "Case Package" generator that reconstructs agent tool calls and file diffs into an auditable forensic timeline. In a test where the agent wrote a divide-by-zero Python script, ran it, fixed it, and re-ran, the dashboard linked the bashtool call directly to the ZeroDivisionError, showed the exact strreplace diff used for the fix, and grouped failure/success evidence for independent verification. No official API required — it works by parsing the streaming data the web UI already sends.
