Juan Benet launches PLC Neurotech, a VC fund for BCI, NeuroAI and connectomics

Protocol Labs founder and IPFS/Filecoin inventor Juan Benet announced PLC Neurotech, a new fund investing in brain-computer interfaces, NeuroAI, and connectomics. Investing in neurotech since 2021, he says the field now feels like AI did around 2019 — already restoring functions and on the verge of enhancing human capabilities.
The team includes Columbia theoretical neuroscience professor Sean Escola as Venture Partner. Disclosed portfolio companies include Synchron, Paradromics, Science Corp, Merge Labs, and others across BCI and neurotech.
