Open-source secrets manager Infisical raises $40M Series B for AI agent credentials
ycombinator · x · 2026-10-28
Y Combinator congratulates Infisical (W23) on its $40M Series B. The open-source security infrastructure manages API keys, passwords, and certificates for developers, machines, and AI agents.
Key trick for agents: when an AI agent needs access to a sensitive system, Infisical hands it a fake credential and swaps in the real one through a proxy, so the agent never sees the actual key.
Over 1,300 organizations use it, including Airbus, Hugging Face, and the US Government; the project just passed 30,000 GitHub stars.
