Genie 4 real-time world model lets you step inside a photo of Berlin after the wall fell

Google's Genie 4 real-time world model is out: you can step into a live simulation and record multiple "takes" in real time, adjusting camera angles, lighting, sound, and action on the fly — like being on set.
Creator bilawalsidhu demoed stepping inside a photograph of Berlin taken days after the wall opened, progressively building the scene live. He notes the next step is connecting AR-tracked smartphones to intuitively control the virtual camera instead of keyboard controls.
