Rikyu builds logos from geometric constructions, aiming at design tools not image gen
Promptmethus · x · 2026-10-28
Rikyu, a new AI logo tool, stands out by constructing logos from geometric primitives—circles, lines and proportions—rather than directly generating images. Given a text description, it produces construction drawings with visible geometry before converging on a clean mark.
The author argues this route matters: if AI design is just "faster image generation," it differs little from Midjourney or GPT Image; but when AI understands proportion, geometry, layout and visual systems, it starts replacing the design tool itself. Screenshots show full construction processes for a kirin crest and a lion emblem.
