AI designs lipid nanoparticles to deliver RNA drugs into solid tumors
paraschopra · x · 2026-10-27
Amit, a lossfunk Batch 9 resident, is using AI to design lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) that deliver RNA-silencing drugs like siRNA/ASO to solid tumors, tackling two barriers: delivery to the right place and selectivity for cancer cells over healthy ones. Over six weeks, using public data and open-source LNP models, he'll answer: how much paired data (same lipids tested in both cell types) a model needs to learn which cell type a lipid favors—telling wet labs how many lipids to test—and which LNP parameters matter most for hepatocyte delivery.
