AI told to install Minecraft mods starts building its own C++ game engine
Promptmethus · x · 2026-10-27
Developer Promptmethus joked that after asking AI to install all Minecraft mods, it started "building a whole new game" — a project he claims to have worked on for three years.
The AI-built system is a standalone pure C++ engine outside Mojang's ownership, merging mods across every era as inspiration, already exceeding Minecraft's 1600 assets with textures and primitives generated for most of them. Attached images show auto-generated palace architecture plans and isometric renders.
