7 robot OEMs post simulation-ready assets on Hugging Face amid NVIDIA deal

A month after NVIDIA announced its Hugging Face acquisition, NVIDIA Robotics has published 2,000+ free, ungated SimReady assets from 7 OEMs (Comau, FANUC, Franka, Robotiq, Standard Bots, Universal Robots, KUKA) on HF. OEMs historically kept CAD locked inside their own simulators (RobotStudio, RoboGuide, KUKA.Sim); publishing SimReady assets concedes workcells will be assembled elsewhere—increasingly by agents—and if your arm isn't in the library, whatever assembles the workcell picks one that is. The author also notes CAD ≠ simulation asset: sim needs collision geometry and moving joints.
