VAST's EdenLive renders AI-generated 720p game worlds at 24 FPS on one RTX 5090

VAST unveiled EdenLive from its Project Eden research program: a real-time generative renderer where the game engine tracks rules, collisions, and world state, and a 5B model converts rough engine reference frames into detailed or stylized video guided by a target first frame and text.
- A shared visual encoder handles different reference types; few-step generation and a streaming pipeline keep feedback flowing as the player acts, closing the loop between generated display and next input.
- Reported results: 720p at over 24 FPS on a single RTX 5090, interaction latency in the hundreds of milliseconds, and generation extending to minutes.
- The headline claim is measured real-time throughput rather than a universal quality win; code and model will be open-sourced.
