SAG-AFTRA's 2026 TV Animation Deal Adds 12.6% Raises and Expanded AI Replica Protections

SAG-AFTRA is urging members to vote by 5 PM PT on Thursday, Oct 29 to ratify the 2026 Television Animation Agreements. Key gains: a 12.6% wage increase over the contract term; expanded AI guardrails covering "no scan" digital replicas, independently created digital replicas, digital alterations, foreign-language dubbing, and biometric data; improved streaming residuals including SVOD moveover and boosts for certain high-budget animated programs; a 1% health plan contribution increase retroactive to Sept 6, 2026 plus a 1% pension increase effective July 2028; and a new high-budget AVOD animated program category.
